sewing: peanut baby free pattern

that's right, my friends!! a few months ago, the lovely folks at Jo-Ann asked to feature me during the month of october as part of the Creativity Made Simple Campaign.

true story... i forwarded the email to Nick immediately to ask him "are they saying what i think they're saying?" and when we both a little in shock, i ended up emailing Jo-Anns back with apologies for being derpy (yes, i actually said that), but was i confused here? considering that the current featured creativity influencer was Tori Spelling... well, i kept imagining chatting with Donna at the Peach Pit about crafting and pinching myself!


and just like that, there i am on the Jo-Ann website!! you can read some of my thoughts on creativity here, and find tons of great creative inspiration in my "Create with Rachael Gander of imagine gnats" guest pinterest board.

the peanut baby project is designed to be simple, fun, and (most of all!) cuddly. you can use knits, wovens, or upcycle old sweaters, t-shirts, or sheets to create your own. the peanut baby is designed to have both "awake" and "asleep" faces to choose between during play. get the full Peanut Baby free pattern and step-by-step instructions here. i'm really proud of this collaboration, and i hope you enjoy my project! the folks at Jo-Ann have been extremely supportive and wonderful to work with, and i am thankful to them for this opportunity. like many of you, i grew up shopping for craft supplies and finding inspiration at my local Jo-Ann store, and it's really exciting to have a chance to give back some creative inspiration.
